Request: Alastriona

boy... i'm really churning them out this week...


as request by my fellow fantasy aficionado , her character Alastriona

okay, now first off... the character reference in itself was already excellent... so there was little for me to do... but then i decided that i might as well try to do it in my style just to see how it goes...

changes i did to the original reference are few... but here are some notable ones...

- i loved the kite shield + mace combo.... and the color scheme in the reference was excellent so i didn't touch it. i did however change the texture of the shield... i wanted it to be less reflective and have more of an onyx-matte finish.

- i toned down the saturation on her clothes... i wanted them to appear more rustic... end result is a slightly brownish-orange color which i was satisfied with.

- she's a demi-god... so i wanted her eyes to stand out!! because golden eyes allure me.

- i was super tempted to make her bracers match her shield and mace (black and gold)... but then i thought there might have been a specific reason for the silver and gold color... so i just went with that!


and i think that's about it.

well, here it is! i hope it does your character justice!

i didn't have time to draw-in Berenice, but maybe i will in the future... the excerpt *Sushi-san85 wrote in the reference you sent really set the mood for me... so do i intend to draw them both together eventually.


EDIT:
so apparently.... dA seems to be screwing up on me, i don't know if its the same with you guys, but i can't seem to see the picture when i click on it from thumbnail... full-view works, download works, but the initial picture after clicking the thumbnail doesn't seem to appear... this frustrates me to no end... that little "broken image" icon frustrates me to no end...

on another note... tried to make her hair bluer... very very slight difference, but i tried to get more blue in as per ~BatPhace's request!
